Help with first reflection

Reflective Log

You will have to write five reflections in class. Here is the first one.

Make sure that you use the Reflective Cycle and the Grading Rubric.

When a class did a practice today all but two of the students did not use any of these words they just waffled - they could have written the essay before they came to the Cultural Diversity Class. They would have failed.

Here are the words that I expect you to use when writing a Cultural Diversity reflection.

diverse cultures, demographics, ethnic minorities, integrate, assimilation. melting pot, garden salad, multiculturalism, acculturation, discrimination, prejudice, stereotypes, xenophobic, ethnocentric, expatriate, human rights, cross-cultural communication, indigenous people, enculturation, racism

Reflection 1

Write 250 to 300 words on:-

·        What you have learnt in Cultural diversity so far?

·        How this knowledge can affect your professional life

·        How this knowledge will affect the way you bring up your children

·        What is needed to get a good grade in this class? How important is the glossary and learning new vocabulary?

·        Your team has made a film and a PowerPoint. What have you learnt about team work? Has your team performed as well as it could have? How could it be improved?
